Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience (within the last 2 years) in acute medical and/or surgical nursing. Ability to be self-directed and exercise independent decision making, nursing judgment and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team. Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic environment. Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. Actively integrates patient and family centered care principles within own nursing practice.
