Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:CRNA Membership, valid and in good standing. 2 to 4 years healthcare experience in an acute care setting. Requires administrative and computer skills in MS Office, Connect Care. Extensive knowledge of the cardiac sciences program. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be willing to work in a dynamic team atmosphere.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Demonstrate excellence in leadership with the ability to collaborate with others. Outstanding organizational skills. Excellence in interpersonal skills, relationship building. Exemplary skills in conflict resolution, change management, problem solving and critical thinking. Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment and situations demanding quick decisions.
