Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent (within 1 year) minimum 1 year acute medical/surgical RN nursing experience. Recent (within 1 year) FMC PCU 61 Cardiac Dysrhythmia certification and clinical experience. FMC PCU 61 Thoracic surgery and pulmonary training and experience. Recent experience in acute pain management. Computer proficiency. Exhibit leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others, as well as leading teams.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Must have strong analytic and critical thinking skills. Knowledge and experience with the following programs: Connect Care. Demonstrate ability to manage change. Baccalaureate Degree in nursing.
