Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Current clinical experience (within the last 12 months) as a Registered Nurse in a Labour and Delivery Unit with experience in labour, delivery, perioperative, antepartum and newborn care Minimum of three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years as a Registered Nurse in more than one of the following departments: acute care, emergency, intensive care, Labour and Delivery, obstetrics, and psychiatry. Experience with intrapartum Fetal Health Surveillance. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification in a relevant specialty area. Completion of NRP, Electronic Monitoring and MoreOB certification or equivalent. Experience in an Obstetrical operating room environment. Current IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification. Charge Nurse experience.
