Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience using EPIC Connect Care. Minimum 3 years' experience, within last 5 years, with post-operative spine (ortho or neuro sx) patient population. Knowledge of ERAS protocols. Self-initiated, proactive and able to self-manage and prioritize workload. Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills, with a solution-focused mindset. Experience with change management models. This position requires the ability to walk long distances, transfer and mobilize patients, move equipment and lift to shoulder height. Strong, professional written communication required. Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate in Nursing. Comfort and experience with QI and using data for decision making. Knowledge of and experience with Red Cap or similar data collection programs.
