Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in acute cardiovascular care nursing required. Knowledge and experience in conducting and interpreting 12-lead Electrocardiogram (ECG) required. Experience in invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring required. Knowledge and experience in the administration of intravenous (IV) central and arterial lines, direct IV medications (IV push), including the IV administration of Inotrope/Vasoactive medications required. Experience with patient care after an Angiogram required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic environment. Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively maintain collaborative working relationships with the multidisciplinary team.
