Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent adult medical or surgical experience, minimum 1 year within the last 2 years as a Registered Nurse (RN). Strong and thorough physical assessment skills. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in stressful and emergent situations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the inter-professional team Leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:ICU experience. Hemodynamic monitoring. Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy. Defibrillation. Intravenous medications including Neuromuscular blockade, anti-arrhythmics, Vasopressor, inotrope experience. Transvenous Pacers. Intravenous push certified. ACLS certification. Certificate in Adult Critical Care Nursing. CNA certification.
