Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience dealing with the medical complications that could arise with eating disorders and be able to provide treatment as directed, assess potential difficulties, and respond to medical emergencies. Must have skills in mental health, and medical assessment and crisis intervention. Strong team skills, initiative, motivation, and self-starter. Combination of both medical and mental health skills is essential. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, families, and team members. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:3 - 5 years recent experience in acute inpatient or outpatient psychiatry, preferable with patients who have an eating disorder, and their families. Experience in group therapy. Strong computer skills are an asset, Connect care preferred.
