Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Accountability for own professional practice. Current certification for IV Therapy. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Maintenance of clinical competence and proficiency. Possesses critical thinking and advanced assessment skills. Required exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other members of the inter-professional team. Self-motivated and enthusiastic learner.
Preferred Qualifications:Adult Critical Care Nursing certification and/or Orientation Program for Adult Critical Care in Alberta. Charge nurse experience. Critical Care Certification course. Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy certification. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Current certification in Hemodynamic monitoring. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Experience with the patient and family-centred care and collaborative practice. Intensive Care Unit experience.
