Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent Registered Nurse Inpatient Acute Care Experience within the last 2 years. To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered, please attach a resume. Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment: constant walking, lifting and bending are necessary. Must be able to assist patients with mobility deficits; ability to transfer patients to the stretcher. Strong critical thinking skills within the scope of practice, including clinical judgment and problem-solving skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment required. Must be self-directed, organized, motivated and able to prioritize and keep pace in a busy environment. Must have excellent English writing and speaking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years acute care Neuroscience/Medical experience in the last 5 years. Central Line Certification. Previous experience mentoring or preceptoring new staff and/or students. Patient teaching experience (both written and verbal). It’s Your Move training. Recent SCM training and proficiency. N95 fit test. Previous experience with working groups and quality improvement initiatives within the last 2 years. AIW fundamentals training.
