Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Completion of CLPNA IM/ID/Immunization courses required. Recent or current nephrology nursing experience required Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment required. Basic computer skills required. Ability to maintain effective and respectful working relationships required. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team player required. Ability to successfully complete the Specialized Clinical Competency of Hemodialysis required.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3 to 5 years medical/surgical experience preferred.
