Your Opportunity:

Assisted Living Alberta Adult Day Programs (ADP) are a critical part of the Alberta Home and Community Care program. Under the Home Care Service Guidelines, they are identified as a respite service; however, they provide a range of services to both clients and their caregivers. ADPs are designed for adult clients who may have physical and/or memory challenges or are living with a chronic illness. They provide purposeful activities that meet the interrelated needs and interests of clients and provide support, respite and education to their informal care givers. As such, they play a key role in allowing clients to remain living in the community as long as possible, optimizing their level of physical, spiritual, social, and emotional function. This position reports to the Care Manager of Rural West Integrated Home Care with Assisted Living Alberta in the Calgary Corridor. The position is responsible for in-scope leadership of the Adult Day Programs run out of Canmore and Banff geo areas. This includes overseeing the ADP program and assisting with ensuring the program is delivered as per provincial ADP guidelines, Home Care Home Support Guidelines, assisting with program development and adaptation to the needs of the clients who attend program and supporting the care staff that support program delivery. The Adult Day Program is currently run Monday and Tuesday in Canmore and Wednesday and Thursday in Banff.
