Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology/Neuropsychology from an accredited university program with specialized doctoral or post-doctoral training in neuropsychology is required. Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists is required, and supervision may be arranged for a qualified individual with provisional registration. Advanced knowledge and skills in neuropsychology are mandatory for accurate differential diagnoses. Experience conducting neuropsychological assessment with a variety of school-aged children and adolescents and strong written and oral communication skills are also required. The ability to relate to patients, family members, and other service providers (including multidisciplinary team members) in a collaborative and professional manner is essential.
