Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

First Aid/BLS, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Suicide Prevention training are all required. Three to five years of recent experience in community mental health and/or acute child psychiatric setting required. Knowledge and skills in assessment (standardized measures of cognitive, adaptive, behavioural and emotional functioning), DSM-V diagnoses, and intervention such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other evidence-based treatment modalities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrates an ability to manage workload and to complete assessments, documentation and consultations in a timely manner. Experience working with Children Services, and other community stakeholders and partners such as schools. Strong ability to work with other professionals and contribute positively to change in emerging services/programs is essential. Intermediate computer skills required.
