Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:3 to 5 years of direct clinical experience within the last 5 years in child and adolescent mental health with proven experience as a clinical therapist able to offer individual and family interventions. Training, supervised experience and 5 years demonstrated competence in administration, scoring and interpretation of standardized measures including but not limited to cognitive measures (e.g., WISC-V), academic measures (e.g., WIAT-III), symptom inventories (e.g., BASC-3, Conners 3), personality constructs (e.g., MMPI-A RF, MACI-II) and assessment measures for autism (e.g., ADI-R, ADOS-2). Demonstrated experience in completing formal assessment reports in a timely and professional manner. Strong, demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in formulation, diagnosis and treatment skills and independent use and application of DSM-V diagnoses. Ability to provide evidence informed treatment within a brief, episodic model of care. Effective case management skills. Experience providing Trauma Informed care. Ability to take initiative and demonstrate reliability and flexibility. Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience providing group therapy. Completion of the Brain Story Certification. Understanding in the use of ACEs. Experience providing supervision to students. Experience and training in Collaborative Problem Solving. Experience with Connect Care.
