Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registration with CAP, if provisional status, preferred to have supervision arranged. 3-5 Years prior experience in an acute mental health setting. 3-5 years prior experience in a Community Mental Health setting. Experience providing therapy and psychosocial interventions essential (group and individual). Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting required. Must have authorization to perform restricted activities. Solid interpersonal communication skills, interviewing techniques and writing skills required. Formal training or practical experience utilizing CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy is required. In-Depth knowledge of mental health / Mental Illness required. NVCI. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing Sexual Offender treatment in an inpatient or community setting. Experience in a Forensic mental health setting preferred. Experience providing Sexual Offender treatment in a community setting preferred. Current CPR an asset. Current working knowledge of Sexual Offender risk assessment tools preferred. ATSA certification preferred. Experience working within a correctional institution & or with a forensic population preferred.
