Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12. A combination of education and experience satisfactory to the employer will also be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years’ recent experience in Addictions and Mental Health setting. Non-violent crisis intervention training. Sound observation and strong verbal communication skills. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in daily schedule and patient acuity changes. Working knowledge of patient and family centered principles. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you will transition to Recovery Alberta. In accordance with the transition letter of understanding with UNA, current employees under the UNA Collective Agreement who accept an employment offer, issued after July 1, 2024, will not have any rights under Article 15: Layoff and Recall.

Preferred Qualifications:

Health Care Aide certificate and Mental Health First Aid certificate. Vitals Training. Working knowledge of the CoACT model of care. Working knowledge of trauma informed care.
