Project Manager
Your Opportunity:
The Project Manager is a professional position supporting non-interventional clinical research at the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. This position will oversee a variety of cancer research projects, ensuring their launch and conduct are completed in accordance with appropriate processes, regulations, and client expectations. This position will assist in identifying existing supports/resources within the health system to conduct the research and will serve as the liaison between the Principal Investigator(s) and the support service departments to outline project requirements and seek appropriate solutions.
Description:
In addition to providing project management oversight of cancer research projects, the Project Manager will support the financial management and budget negotiations for studies, development of new research proposals and/or grant submissions, medical chart reviews and data entry for research studies, recurring grant reporting and status updates to a variety of stakeholders, and other research-related activities at the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre as required. This position will also partake in strategic discussions, looking to identify opportunities to coordinate research support across Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) as appropriate. While reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager within Clinical Outcomes Research, Cancer Research & Analytics, CCA, the Project Manager will also receive direction from the Principal Investigators overseeing the cancer research projects they are supporting.

Master’s Degree in Health Sciences or related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification. Experience in oncology is an asset. Formal project management training, project management designation (i.e. PMP) is an asset. Clinical Research training, including many of the following courses, is strongly preferred: Alberta SPOR SUPPORT Unit: Leadership in Patient Oriented Research: Pragmatic Clinical Trials Certificate Program; Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program).
