Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Intermediate understanding of purchasing, warehousing, logistics and Inventory Management. 1-3 years of purchasing experience. Proficiency with MS Office applications. Ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff, management, and vendors. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to problem-solve and come up with solutions. Effective organizational skills, ability to prioritize, accuracy and attention to detail. Client focused and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Team mentality must come before the individual. Must be a self-starter; demonstrate initiative and be able to action assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:Diploma in Supply Chain or Purchasing. Healthcare and/or Public Purchasing/supply chain experience is an asset. Completion of SCMP, PMAC, NIGP or other equivalent courses and associated certifications. Oracle or other ERP system experience.
