Your Opportunity:

The Peter Lougheed Centre is offering this opportunity for a Full Time, 4th Class Power Engineer. The PLC, FM&E department at the Peter Lougheed Centre is a fast-paced dynamic environment suitable to a highly motivated and energetic individual. You will part of diverse team that prioritizes patient care and leads in workplace safety. This position is day shift but shift coverage for nights and weekends can be assigned for vacation and sick time coverage as required.

Description:

As a Power Engineer 4th Class, you will be responsible for assisting with monitoring, repairs and maintenance of plant operations in accordance with AHS and Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) standards and practices. You will schedule and check building/power plant equipment systems on a pre-established schedule. In addition, you will operate and maintain the plant in a safe and efficient manner according to ABSA regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 year's experience working directly with low pressure & high pressure steam boilers, chillers, RO systems, chemical batching, various power plant systems and demonstrate a minimum of 2 year's experience with BMS systems and plant operations. N95 fit testing. Able to lift 20kg.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience replacing/repairing valves, pumps and have a strong understanding of control systems. Metasys BMS knowledge an asset.
