Completion of 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate. Minimum of 3 to 5 years broad experience in operation and maintenance of boilers, turbines, generators, electrical switchgear, cooling towers, chillers, steam and heating systems and associated automated control systems with preference given to candidate with previous power generation experience. Must be able to use good judgement in solving technical problems arising in day-to-day operations. Knowledge of General Safety Service Act relating to Plant Operations and associated regulations. Writing reports as well as logbook entries. Must be familiar with the use of tools and equipment necessary to perform required tasks. Very good verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable, cooperative and capable of working independently. Must possess initiative and be capable of giving direction and supervision as required. Working knowledge of specialty system software and maintenance management software. (E-Facilities will be given preference).
Preferred Qualifications:Must have the strength and stamina to lift and carry heavy materials, and to perform repetitive tasks involving bending, stretching, walking and kneeling. Safety training and certificates such as fall protection, aerial platform, confined space, asbestos safety, electrical safety training and fit testing. Lifting up to 23Kg (50lbs) is required with this role. Working on roofs, outdoors, indoors and responding to seasonal requirements.
