Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible for registration with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a community college or university in a related health care field (BSc., RRT, RN, etc.) required. Minimum 3 years' experience working in a related health field required. Current BCLS required. Experience with computerized laboratory and physiological monitoring systems required. Thorough knowledge of ASM Manual for the scoring of sleep and associated events and demonstrated competence in applying these rules required. Strong patient assessment and communication skills required. Extensive knowledge of all types of sleep disorders and their relevance to patient populations required. Proven ability to identify sleep disorders through the analysis of the sleep study. Expertise in titrations of CPAP, BPAP, ASV and oxygen.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs preferred. Proven advanced problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment. Proven ability to interact positively and in a professional manner with staff, physicians, patients and other visitors within the Sleep Laboratory. Extensive knowledge of medications commonly used in this patient population and their effect on sleep.
