Completion of a Polysomnographic Training Program plus graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy, EEG Technology or Nursing Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience working in a related health field. Must have experience with computerized laboratory and physiological monitoring systems. Experience with Connect Care. Experience with referral management and triage. Thorough knowledge of AASM Manual for the scoring of sleep and associated events and demonstrated competence in applying these rules. Extensive knowledge of all types of sleep disorders and their relevance to patient population. Proven ability to identify sleep disorders through the analysis of the sleep study. Extensive knowledge of medications commonly used in this patient population and their effect on sleep. Expertise in titrations of CPAP BiPAP, ASV, and oxygen. Proven ability to educate other staff on these titrations. Proven leadership and conflict management skills required. Proven ability to work under limited supervision. Current BCLS. Five years recent experience in a leadership position in health care setting Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in an interprofessional environment required and to interact positively with staff, physicians and patients. Ability to work under pressure and handle competing priorities. Self-motivated, self-directed, work independently and prioritize work situations as you are the only PSG II TeCH in clinic . Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities.work
