Required Qualifications:

Journeyperson Plumber and Journeyperson Steamfitter-Pipefitter certificates from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years previous related Plumbing and Steamfitter experience in an industrial or institutional setting. Good computer skills and mechanical aptitude related to operation and project design, construction and commissioning is an asset. Due to the large area of the facility and number of project related meetings daily, there may be a requirement to work longer than scheduled days to meet the remand and timelines of project activities during various phases of the project. There will be a requirement for regular walking on the facility campus. The employee must be committed to work safely and comfortable to engage in our commitment to both construction and operational safety. Working with Contractors onsite within FM&E and Project teams including inspection of new construction and renovations projects. Completion of preventive maintenance schedules including checking & recording new equipment as per standards, tests, and services existing equipment (medical gas, hot water heating, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on large complex projects is an asset for this position. Previous maintenance or service experience in a healthcare setting. Experience with Infection Prevention and Control requirements. Medical gas installation certificate considered an asset.
