Journeyperson Plumber and Journeyperson Steamfitter-Pipefitter certificates from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years previous related Plumbing and Steamfitter experience in an industrial or institutional setting. City of Calgary - Cross Connection Control Testers Registration. Good computer skills and aptitude as daily duties are distributed through a Maintenance Management System. Due to the large area of the facility and number of repair calls that must be responded to daily, there is a requirement for regular walking. To work safely and efficiently. Regular lifting up to 20 kg, using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Pushing / puIIing, regular moving equipment up to 150 kg, or performing work on systems. Standing, reaching, kneeling, crouching & crawling. Working with Contractors onsite within FM&E and Projects including inspection of new construction and renovations projects. Completes preventive maintenance including checking & recording new equipment as per standards, tests and services existing equipment (medical gas, hot water heating. Coverage may be requested at one of our other sites if required. Pricing/estimating of materials for repairs, ordering materials & supplies, review & upgrade of mechanical systems drawings, completing work orders.
