Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program Active registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association Active Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Certification by first day of work Minimum 2 years of working experience in an inpatient or outpatient adult rehabilitation area Experience providing physiotherapy care in an interdisciplinary team Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate differences constructively and support positive resolution of conflicts. Demonstrated effective time management and organization skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word) Skilled in recognizing and managing cancer related distress within the physiotherapy scope, adjusting treatment plans accordingly, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, appropriate care.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of oncology experience in an urban adult inpatient and/ or outpatient setting. Clinical knowledge of bone marrow transplant care and hematological cancers. Minimum 1 year working in a palliative care environment. Experience facilitating groups and classes. AADL authorizer for compression garments and/ or mobility aids. One year’s experience using Connect Care and completion of Allied Health Therapies ILT. Experience working with Therapy Assistants.
