Physiotherapist I
Your Opportunity:
Are you a physiotherapist who is looking for an opportunity to expend their knowledge and experience in neurological rehabilitation? Are you looking for a dynamic, collaborative team environment? The Community Accessible Rehabilitation (CAR) program might be the place for you. CAR is an outpatient rehabilitation program that supports clients who have transitioned out of acute/tertiary care and who have functional-based rehabilitation goals that can be addressed in a short-term community-based program. The CAR physiotherapist (PT) will support direct patient care in the areas of complex and chronic neurological rehabilitation (eg: stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s). Approximately 80% of the role will be assigned to direct clinical care of clients. We are looking for a PT with clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of clients with complex neurological conditions. The PT works as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team and will operate in a client-centered, functional, outcome-based rehabilitation model. CAR is a multi-site program and this casual position will be supporting the team at the Peter Lougheed Centre. The caseload for all positions within CAR may be subject to change based on operational considerations.
