Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of three years’ experience within the past five years in both community and clinical settings, using active therapy and exercise prescription for adults with chronic health conditions. Proficient in facilitating group sessions and providing individualized adult education to support health promotion, self-management, and client care. Skilled in delivering education on fall prevention, pain and fatigue management, safe exercise modifications for osteoporosis, and management of chronic neuro and musculoskeletal conditions. Able to assess range of motion, perform muscle strength testing, and evaluate functional mobility. Experienced in developing and implementing follow-up physiotherapy plans with multidisciplinary teams. Strong verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in fast-paced, evolving environments. Skilled in building respectful relationships with diverse clients, care providers, and team members. Experienced in working with culturally diverse and vulnerable populations. Proficient with computers, databases, and information systems. Must be physically able to move equipment and lead cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility classes.
Preferred Qualifications:Completed training and applied experience in chronic disease management, motivational interviewing, and health coaching. Experienced in delivering virtual group exercise programs and one-on-one coaching. Recent experience with Connect Care including documentation and workflows, virtual care using Zoom, and working knowledge of Excel and Word.
