Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a clinical physiotherapist. Minimum 1 years of recent experience (within the past 5 years) working in pulmonary rehabilitation (with chronic respiratory conditions in an adult population). Demonstrated proficiency in providing disease specific patient education for self-management, both virtually and in-person, for groups and 1:1. At least one year experience (in past 5 years) facilitating education and exercise groups, both in-person and virtually. Experience with program development and/or quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a patient-centered, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one-year recent experience (in past 5 years) working in a community setting is preferred. CRE (Certified Respiratory Educator) designation or in process of obtaining CRE designation. Completion of the Foundational Health Educator course. Experience with smoking cessation education/counselling to support smoking cessation.
