Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Conflict resolution and strong communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills is required. New and existing staff will be expected to participate in training and implementation of ConnectCare starting in 2023. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting or standing. Must be able to participate in safe patient handling (i.e., transfers, bariatric clients, bending, reaching, twisting, and walking distances).

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 1-year Acute Care experience working as a Physiotherapist in the last 5 years strongly preferred. New graduates with relevant clinical experience in the ER may be considered. Strong clinical skills in the area of MSK and functional assessment and treatment as well as familiarity with discharge planning/community physiotherapy is an asset. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
