Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:Hospital pharmacy technician experience within the last 2 years. Experience particularly in the area of medication selection, non-sterile compounding, checking, and narcotics handling. Current sterile products experience with current AHS aseptic validation. Demonstrated ability to work in teams and independently. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated computer and word processing skills. Required to wear appropriate PPE during designated tasks. (PPE includes N95 masks and respirators).
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated working knowledge of Willow Pharmacy (Connect Care). Demonstrated clinical experience supporting direct patient care through medication reconciliation. Demonstrated experience with Pyxis. Membership in a pharmacy professional organization.
