Your Opportunity:

Are you a passionate and experienced Pharmacy Technician looking to make a meaningful impact in healthcare? Alberta Health Services is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team at Leduc Community Hospital, a 70-bed facility providing acute and subacute care, transition beds, 24-hour emergency services, surgical care, rehabilitation, laboratory services, and diagnostic imaging. In this role, you will work to your full scope of practice in a dynamic, supportive environment. You will contribute to safe and efficient patient care through sterile and non-sterile product preparation, order entry, drug preparation, repackaging, dispensing prescriptions and ward stock, performing final product checks, and assisting with clinical problem solving and discrepancy resolution. You will also support the development of new staff and students through training and orientation while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve processes and outcomes. Strong communication skills, solid organization, computer proficiency, and the ability to build strong working relationships will be essential to your success. This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. a few times weekly, stand for about 70% of the workday, crouch, kneel, push or pull up to 20 lbs., walk regularly, and perform frequent typing and related physical tasks. Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products. You will receive and triage medication orders, compound and repackage medication and prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Acute care hospital pharmacy technician experience within the last year—including medication selection, compounding, checking, and narcotics handling. Current AHS validation in sterile and non-sterile compounding. Connect Care (Willow) trained.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pyxis Super user experience and Professional Pharmacy Organization membership an asset.. Minimum 1 year training and experience as AHS pharmaceutical purchaser is an asset.
