As a member of the Pharmacy Connect project team, you will work in a hybrid setting, combining remote work from home with on-site responsibilities at the Central Production Facility – North, located in Edmonton. You will participate in project activities to plan and launch operations and be a resource and support to others involved in this initiative.
Description:
As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products. You will receive and triage medication orders, compound and repackage medication and prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience from an Institutional Pharmacy setting, in a range of medication production and distribution functions including inventory management, as well as experience with project work, pharmacy production technology and software. Comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience in medication distribution and the legislation, regulations, procedures and technology used in support of this. Demonstrated ability for complex problem solving with novel solutions, e.g., experience with assessing problems and creating solutions where there are no procedures, guidelines or systems in place and implementing them. Experience effectively dealing with multiple priorities in a large project with diverse stakeholders. Engages key stakeholders in change process, understands the impact on both internal and external stakeholders and manages risks and benefits accordingly. Experience participating in the piloting and evaluating of new ideas and explores creative solutions for using resources more efficiently and effectively. Formal or informal leadership experience, including representing a group as a stakeholder, and/or facilitation of group meetings. Involved in the gathering of data, analysis of information, and developing recommendations for improvement of medication production and distribution services. Demonstrated proficiency with Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.). Possesses excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:Leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy environment. Project management and change management experience and/or certifications. Process improvement experience or training.
