Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrates excellent organizational, decision making, teaching, time management and communication skills, reliability, and personal suitability. Proven ability to work independently as well as positively, effectively, and cooperatively within an interdisciplinary team. Prior Pharmacy Technician experience with a minimum of 2 years in a large acute care hospital setting. Recent (within the past 2 years) sterile compounding experience. HPT experience (within the last 6 months). Must be able to withstand long periods of sitting, standing and walking as this role requires daily IV room work and medication prep, dispensing, and packaging for delivery. Also, must be able to manually operate and program the ambulatory pumps and lift/carry patient medications and equipment up to approximately 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care and Kroll experience with computer medication order entry, IV mixture and unit dose drug distribution an asset.
