Your Opportunity:

The Pharmacy Manager - Northeast Corridor position, is a key leadership role within Pharmacy Services in North sector. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership, and organization over the pharmacy activities at the Northern Lights Healthcare Centre in Fort McMurray in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services and Pharmacy Services. You will also be responsible for attracting and developing a team of highly capable, committed staff who share a passion for patient centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration. You supervise the work of a highly skilled team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants as you assume overall accountability for the vision, strategic planning and service delivery of Northeast Corridor for Pharmacy Services. The position reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy - North, and works closely with both the North Pharmacy Management Team and the Provincial Pharmacy Operations Team. The position is responsible and accountable for making operational decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for the pharmacy services at the Northern Lights Healthcare Centre. You are expected to support provincially led initiatives that will move the program forward and establish and maintain positive relationships with key local and provincial representatives and health care partners.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a hospital pharmacy role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. 3-5 years progressive leadership experience in a health care environment. Licensure with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.

Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership in Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists
