Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered please apply with resume and cover letter. Working knowledge of Pharmacy terms and medication names. Graduate of a recognized pharmacy assistant program and/or recent retail or hospital pharmacy experience acceptable to the employer. Experience with Windows-based applications and demonstrated typing skills. Fluency in the English language (both written and verbal). 1 year + Connect Care/Epic computer program experience. Willingness to work with narcotics and/or inventory required. It is a requirement to be able to work at our NICU satellite at Foothills Medical Center (offsite location) It is a requirement to be able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and STAT holidays. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, self-motivated and able to demonstrate effective customer service attitude. Must be able to work both independently and co-operatively in a team environment. Must be committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Must be able to withstand long periods of sitting, standing and walking and must be in good physical condition as some heavy lifting is required. Preference also given to experience with compounding, repackaging, unit dose, ward stock, handling hazardous medications, wearing proper PPE where required, narcotics, inventory management, deliveries, cart fills, and knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:1 year + experience in the last 5 years in pediatrics. Recent ACH experience. Preference given to individuals with recent pediatric and/or narcotics and/or inventory management experience. Demonstrates excellent communication (written and verbal), attention to detail, time management skills, organizational skills, problem-solving and decision-making ability. Displays professionalism, tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality.
