Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of recognized pharmacy assistant program and/or recent retail or hospital pharmacy experience acceptable to the employer required. Required to stand and or sit for long periods at a time. Required to work with arms extended for sustained periods of time. Required to lift up to 30 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs., push/pull carts, repetitive bending. Good organizational, problem-solving and decision-making ability. Displays professionalism, tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, self-motivated and able to demonstrate effective service attitude. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of various office equipment, unit dose packaging equipment, Pyxis and pharmaceutical compounding equipment preferred. Knowledge of Pharmacy Drug Formulary preferred. Experience with Connect Care, BDM computer and Canada Post Software preferred. Inpatient Pharmacy experience preferred.
