Required Qualifications:

BScN or a post-secondary degree in a related field is required with at least five years’ experience in a Management role in an Operating Room setting. Strong leadership skills combined with the ability to motivate and promote a positive environment that is open to change, new approaches to care, and the organization of services is essential. Must be eligible for registration with the appropriate professional association. Experience and understanding of finance and human resources management required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Understanding the zone structure is an asset. A minimum of 5 years in a hospital ideally in an organization of similar size, complexity and diversity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Current operating room experience in an acute care setting is required. Responsible to maintain active registration with the College of Registered Nurses in Alberta through the duration of employment. Recent leadership experience in surgical suite required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with changed management and lean leadership is an asset. A strong knowledge and skill set in strategic planning is an asset. Strong leadership skill is essential. This is combined with the ability to motivate and promote a positive environment that is open and supportive to change and innovation. Proven coaching and mentorships skills required as well as excellent conflict resolution and communication skills. Demonstrated computer literacy to support Connect Care concerns.
