Description:
As a Painter, you will perform a wide variety of journeyperson level painting duties associated with the application of paint and other finishes to a variety of surfaces in accordance with quality and safety standards, industry practices and department policies. You will provide advice and recommendations on building, equipment and furniture surface applications. In addition, you will ensure adequate supply of material/parts on hand and monitor inventory.

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Painter Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 as well as 5 years previous related experience in a Healthcare setting is to be demonstrated. Physically fit as lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs.) is required with this role. Working on roofs, outdoors, indoors and responding to seasonal requirements is required. Ability to work both independently as well as be an effective team member. Due to the large area of the facility, there is a requirement for walking for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:Valid First Aid would be an asset. Valid Fit testing certificate would be an asset. Valid Fall arrest and aerial platform training would be an asset.
