Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years acute care medical/surgical LPN experience. Demonstrated strong prioritization and assessment skills required. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads. Demonstrated ability in organizing and planning care appropriately required. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment required. Ability to work and communicate in a team environment required. Demonstrated an understanding of family centered care within nursing practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current orthopaedic technician experience in a trauma center an asset. Basic computer skills are an asset.
