Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current practice permit with a minimum of 5 years of experience in rehabilitation and community practice required. Active AADL authorizer status required. Extensive knowledge of population needs, health care continuum, and leading practices in collaborative, interdisciplinary rehabilitation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to develop therapeutic relationships and navigate sensitive situations. Ability to create effective internal and external partnerships. Aptitude for performing in an environment of innovation, continuous change, and learning. Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. Initiative and ability to work independently in clinical and virtual settings. BLS-HCP Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Meditech and Connect Care EMR. Proficiency in IT skills, with a strong command of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, is highly preferred. Canadian Occupational Therapy Association membership preferred, or other organization closely affiliated to occupational therapy practice areas is an asset.
