Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent (within the last two years) clinical experience in a pediatric physical medicine/rehabilitation setting. Experience in pediatric neurorehab service delivery for 0-18years old. Clinical knowledge in pediatric development and conditions such as acquired developmental disorders, neurodegenerative diagnoses, and musculoskeletal conditions. Knowledge and experience in rehabilitative service, transition support, sensory processing, fine motor, and supporting independence with ADLs and IADLs. Knowledge of community resources and programs. Knowledge of tertiary rehabilitation service delivery. BCLS-HCP certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent (within the last year) experience in splinting and handling pediatric patients. Experience using Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). Experience with Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT). Knowledge, skills and experience in complex pediatric feeding & swallowing. Knowledge and experience in cognitive rehab assessment and treatment. Knowledge of and clinical experience with Assistive Technology and Power Mobility. AADL authorization required for some services.
