Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of 2-years clinical OT experience with an adult population. New grads may be considered with experience in adult neuro rehab. Recent experience in the neurorehabilitation of clients with stroke and brain injury. One year preferred. Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a client-centered, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals required. Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practice for clients with neurological conditions. Effective self-management skills and demonstrated initiative required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in an ambulatory setting. Experience with custom hand splinting for the neurological population. Experience with the assessment tools and processes to determine a client’s ability to drive following a neurological event.
