Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Current BCLS-HCP. A minimum of 3-5 years addiction and mental health experience preferably with strong skillset working with young people with eating disorder concerns in community settings and/or housing settings is preferred. The incumbent must have experience with functional assessment, treatment planning and associated follow up; advanced levels of knowledge and skill in the intake, assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons with eating disorders, addiction, and mental health concerns is integral. They must demonstrate an ability to work well with a range of community stakeholders and caregivers. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in mental health and addiction settings, both bed based and ambulatory, as well as knowledge related to the treatment of eating disorders is a strong asset. Working knowledge of recovery-based practice, harm reduction principles and practice within transitional housing settings recommended.
