Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic Cardiac Life Support –Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) from Heart and Stroke Foundation, current within the last 12 months, required. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related travel required. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Two years or recent experience (obtained within the last five years); in the absence of recent experience, completion of a refresher program. Must have 1-2 years recent Home Care or Community experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills - must be able to efficiently organize many details in a time efficient manner. Ability to work effectively as part of an inter-professional health care team, other staffs, other programs/organizations, and with clients and their caregivers/families.
