Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Effective teaching skills, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to assist effectively with patient transfers up to 50 lbs. as well as the ability to kneel, bend, crouch, carry and assist with installation of seating components/equipment up to 25 lbs. is required. Experience working in the area of seating assessment (MAT assessment) and prescription is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Status as an active, Level A AADL Authorizer preferred (with expectation of moving to a Level C authorizer status). Memberships with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists recommended. Preferably would have Level B or higher AADL seating certification. Experience working with clients across the lifespan and knowledge of and effective working relationships with community stakeholders would be an asset. Connect Care training an asset.
