Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Strong communication (both written and oral), effective decision-making, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required. Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, non-sedentary clinical role, be self-directed and work independently, and use sound professional judgment. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word and Outlook. There is also an expectation to travel in between the Continuing Care Type B or Supportive Living sites. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related purposes is a requirement. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word and Outlook. Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the position: walk a minimum of 3 Kilometers per shift, including stairs while carrying up to 25 lbs. Also able to tolerate bending, lifting, and twisting in accordance with the move-safe training for client transport/lift/transfer & reposition while using equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Orientation to this role is full-time for 4 consecutive weeks for applicants external to ISFL. Applicants must be able to commit to this 4-week requirement. Recent (within the last 3 years) community experience with Integrated Supportive and Facility Living, Integrated Home Care required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Able to perform Seating assessment independently for a population that lives in Continuing Care Home Type B or Continuing Care Home Type A will be considered an asset. Current AADL Authorizer status
