Nurse Practitioner - Adult Ambulatory Care (Urology)
Your Opportunity:
Are you a Nurse Practitioner (NP) looking to make a meaningful impact in adult patient care within a supportive, clinic-based environment? The Kipnes Urology Centre (KUC) at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic is recruiting its first Nurse Practitioner, offering a unique opportunity to help establish and grow NP practice in a high-volume ambulatory specialty clinic. This role supports adult patients with complex chronic and acute conditions, with a focus on urology and oncology. Working closely with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals, the NP will play a key role in coordinating care, improving access, and supporting safe, timely clinical decision-making. The NP scope of practice includes ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; prescribing medications, and diagnostic imaging agents; recommending medical devices and therapies; and performing clinical procedures and interventions as appropriate. The role also contributes to the development of care pathways and practice improvements that enhance patient outcomes and quality of life. As the first NP at KUC, you will not be practicing in isolation. Structured onboarding, physician mentorship, and leadership support are in place. New NP graduates are encouraged to apply, and comprehensive orientation and training will be provided. Experience in adult care, urology, or oncology is an asset but not required.

Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
