Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) supplemented by completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner Program. Experience in chronic disease management and patient-centred care. Strong leadership, communication, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated excellence in advanced assessment, documentation, organization, and patient care. Minimum of three (3) years of recent acute care and/or ambulatory care experience. Physical ability to safely perform patient assessments, moving and handling, transfers, walking, standing, and handling equipment up to 25 lbs. Connect Care training.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience caring for patients with Parkinson disease, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, tremor disorders, dystonia, Huntington disease, or other movement disorders. Working knowledge or clinical experience in neurosciences, neurology, chronic neurological disease, or a related specialty practice area. Experience working within an interdisciplinary ambulatory specialty program. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, collaborative practice.
