The NP will perform advanced comprehensive health assessments; order, interpret and perform diagnostic tests; provide urgent input related to complex patients in acute care and clinic areas; communicate assessment findings/diagnoses including outcomes and prognoses; prescribe and distribute pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other therapies; and utilize complex reasoning to safely coordinate and manage care for patients while promoting continuity across the continuum of care. The NP requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships and will demonstrate skills in the areas of organization, critical thinking, conflict resolution, advanced problem solving, interdisciplinary leadership and change management. A passion for caring for patients with medical complexity, and their families, is essential.
